Lyft’s Rating Protection, Long Trip Alert, Shortened Cancellation Window

Lyft has made some updates to their platform in order to provide for a better driver experience.

  • An update to passengers’ ratings screens that helps protect drivers from issues out of their control.
  • Previously, passengers had up to five minutes to cancel a ride without being charged a cancellation fee. Now, two minutes is the magic number.
  • Drivers will now be alerted when a ride is estimated to take longer than 45 minutes.
